Editor's review
This is a software tool for demultiplexing or separating out of the video, audio and other components of the combined video file on a Blu-Ray disc.
Blu-Ray Demuxer Pro is a tool for Blu-Ray demuxing. The main function of Blu-Ray Demuxer Pro is to decompile Blu-Ray disk into video, audio and other files. These individual files then can be used to re-author the content using a re-authoring tool. The interface is simple but well organized. The part on the left shows you the video files. On the right you have a tabbed display area. The tabbed groups are program map, clip info, playlist, index, movie object, menu audio, fonts and available streams. Each of these tabs shows you detailed information. For example the program map shows you the structure of the program/content available in the DVD. A third area across the bottom of the display area shows the progress of operations. Initially, for example, it’ll show how the loading is happening.
This extended user interface allows you to view all internal structures of the Blu-Ray disc, including the logic fields created by authoring software. Blu-Ray Demuxer Pro is intended for the remaking of old Blu-ray Disc projects. Old Blu-Ray projects can be re-created in the new format using back conversion into primary data assets. The publishers make categorical statement that it is not meant for circumventing Blu-ray disc protections. The tool processes the whole BD automatically. The decompilation takes about an hour in all. Once decompiled, an authoring software like the Sonic Scenarist will be able to handle the components into a complete BD. If you have a lot of old BD projects you want to publish in the new BD form, here is a tool that can be really helpful.
